b18b too rich and very low idle (searched)
Vehicle:
98 Civic DX with 97 B18b swap OBD2a LS ecu
Problem:
The car is not throwing any CEL but it has a very low idle. It almost dies but never does. I have checked the timing and it is alright. When the car is running you can smell gas really bad. I pulled the plugs and all of them were black and I had just replaced them.
Also for some reason the car has an obd1 exhaust manifold on it. So there is a place for only one O2 sensor. I have the primary O2 sensor in the only hole. But the secondary O2 is hooked up but just laying on top of the tranny. I was told that it wouldnt effect anything as it was only for catylatic effeciency or something. but could this be part of the problem?
I have been reading about idle learning procedures and the idle adjust screw but havent tried to mess with them yet. but any help is apperciated.
Thanks again guys
Ben
