wow that is a very open qestion.
Do you allready have the head??
Do you want to do a full bild, or do yo jst want to do bare bones, meaning bolt the head on and just do what you have to do in order to get it running?

read through this thread, it has a bunch of excellent information

read about the parts required and look up those prices, then add on any optional prices for upgraded parts to give yourself a general idea of how much it will cost to set up your engine

The only way its going to be worth your while is if its a full build, otherwise it may not be very reliable, I know someone who just slapped a B16 head on an ls block, and he had constant problems. Just some advise. Plus you might be able to find a swap for as much as it will cost for the b16 head/ecu/ ls/vtec kit, ect.
Every instance ive encountered with LSvtec has been pretty bad. When they work, they work well... The only problem is, most of the time LSvtec motors have probelem after problem. If you ask me, its not worth it.

that is an uneducated comment, if built properly then an LSvtec is as reliable as any other motor
it is not different than building a GSR, B16, or LS motor. they only work as well as they are built, if you cut corners you end up with a motor that is alot of trouble. If you take time, do everything right then it will be a great motor

im willing to bet the people that built those lsvtecs that had problems just slapped the head on the block and started abusing the **** out of it.
