Default JDM Rx Pedal in EK.

I saw those Rx pedals last night, and i fell for them!!
But my question is, those Rx pedals are from CTR and DC2/5, and S2000 adopted them too. Of what I could find out, the S2000 verison will not work. But I can't come up with another for the CTR and DC2/5 verison.

Does anyone have these pedals? And how did you proceed to install them?

The clutch and gas pedals bolt up, and you need to rivet the brake pad onto your stock brake pedal. This is what I have read.

As far as I was aware, you could just bolt them in....

got 'em

I re-riveted the brake & clutch to original pedals...gas pedal was a bitch... cut arm & welded it to original arm... you might be able to swap whole gas pedal on but I think it will line up differently & not be even with other pedals

i bought the same pedals not long ago. I have yet to install them. I have an EG and was wondering if they will bolt in or will I have to rivet the brake as well?

NO YOU CAN'T JUST SWAP IN!!!!!!! - I POSTED HOW DO IT... reriveting pedals to stock (usdm arms) takes 2 minutes... gas pedal is a bitch if you want the pedal in the stock location (level with other pedals)

I am not sure about eg

Shouldnt they be the same between USDM and JDM? Did you remove the your USDM ones and try to put the JDM ones in? Just curious.

reviting the pedals to the arms is easier than installing the whole arm assemblies - anyways

as I said gas pedal can be a bitch if you want it done right - because of the Left to Right angle as well as the angle/pitch that it sticks out... I believe one of the gas pedals (usdm or R/X) had a different thickness/depth to the part that hits the floor... so in other words the pedal would hit the floor, instead of being 100% WOT it would be like 95% WOT...check it out - maybe I am full of ****

So wouldnt it be fair to say then that the easiest way to do this would be to simply rivet all the pedals to your existing arms?? My only problem with this would be the size of the gas pedal as the Rx one is tiny in comparison to the OEM pedal on my EG

yes... BUT the gas pedal is not riveted on... its welded to the arm... so really no

clutch & brake - rerivet in less than 5 minutes... gas pedal = t3h b1tcH

Okay, so I'll rivet the brake and clutch pedals and cut and weld the gas pedal. I'm just rying to figure out the simpliest way to do this.

When you welded your gas pedal...did you just simply remove it and cut and weld?

yes but then we realized it was at the wrong pitch... in other words we cut both pedal arms (on the upper half of the arm) in the same place at what appeared to be the same angle - but b/c arms angles were different below the cut (angle of a bend) - we had to recut & reweld.

make sure you look at the back of the pedal usdm compare to R/X too - I think the r/x has a deeper base that will hit the floor (before 100% wot) if you bolt just the whole r/x assembly on

Okay, thanks for the advice. I'm probably not going to attempt this myself and I don't have any experience with welding. I'll take it to a local shop and see if they can make something of it.
