Yea i dunno--i was having thoughts about my map but since im not throwing a code, nor can i replace it with a known good one as of now, i assume its fine. Is there such an instance where the MAP was bad but did not throw the cel? or would the motor just go into limp mode

change it out or use a meter and check for 5v power and ground, then check for signal between the map sensor plug and the ecu pin c11

Pretty much what he said, heres a break down from the honda manual.

Black lead of multimeter on the GRN/WHT and red lead on YEL/RED with the igniton switched on and see if you get 5V. If not, damn that sucks, tell us and Ill try and help you with some wiring.

If there is 5V, get the multimeter back out and put the red lead on WHT and black lead on GRN/WHT and see if you also get 5V. Once again tell us and I can help you out a little more.

If there is 5V reconnect the 3 prong back to the map and get the multimeter back out and get access to the ECU. Put red lead to C11 and black lead to C14 and see if you get 3V while the ignition is on. If all of this is good then the map sensor is bad.
