Default Shifter noise

When cruising I've noticed a buzzing sound from my shifter. It's been going on for a while but it's now just annoying. It sounds like there's something in the threads of my shifter vibrating around.

I'm sure it's some cheapo ebay shifter because it was on the car when i bought it. I'm sure it's aluminum as well because it does get pretty hot when I do a lot of driving.

It could be what they have said also i had the same thing and it turned out the bolt connecting the linkage to the shifter was loose causing a really annoying vibration sound.

I think it's that one. Because I'm 95% positive it's not hitting the exhaust.

How do I got about fixing that bolt?

Actually it sounds like it's inside the shift ****, but I drove with it off cruising and it was still there. Like it's in the threads.

Dude i did the same thing...your going to have to jack up your car and tighten the bolt right where the linkage connects to the shifter.

instead of asking why your shifter is vibrating and you to freaking lazy to jack up the car and tighten it. just DO IT. and you shifter is a solid piece of metal so its not vibrating inside it. just tighten up all the bolts and if it dosent work deal with it.

I figure out what's the damn rubbing sound! it's the exhaust shield that sits right under the shifter.. It needs to be removed!
