Short shifter noise and rattle.
I just got my crvtec swap done and had a short shiftter put in, I am experienceing noise and rattling when driving from the shifter itself. I checked underneath to make sure my exhaust is not touch and is far from it just wondering what could be causing the vibration. I ask my friend who installed it he said he also put some shift guide or watever to make the shifts smoother and more accurate so I don't get a mis-shift. what ever its called, he said with that installed it doesn't have any rubber bushings and thus causing the vibration. is this true oor wat else can be causing this, its hella anoyying. My shifts feel alot better though.

Where exactly is it rattling?
I would make sure the bolt to the rod/shifter is tight, as well as the bearings inside there lubed up.
You also will want to put grease on the ball on the shifter which might be causing that as well.

My integra and my brothers crx did it. It's those damn cheap hollow aluminum shifters. If anything rattles or if the bolt attaching the shifter to the linkage is loose it will make a rattle.
