after riding in my buddy's S2000, i've came to realize that my sliverstar's just aren't cutting it anymore. i've done quite a bit of searching and can't seem to find any info on anyone retrofitting h.i.d.'s into a del sol's headlight housing. i diffinately don't want to try any plug and play kits (other people's safety and the risk of me looking cool isn't cool), and was wondering if anyone out there's hooking honda's red-headed step child (the sol) with h.i.d.'s. i bought an after-market set of headlights, to do the retrofit myself so that i don't have to worry about messing up my stock ones if it looks like crap. i've found a couple threads where people's retrofit h.i.d.'s in integra's lights, but seems as though it might be different with a sol's lights, ie you don't have a seperate light to utilize as a high beam light. any threads or links on the subject would be awesome.

here's a pic of the headlights i bought...cool thing about 'em (even though they're after-market) is that even with a normal 9003 bulb, they have a pretty decent "cut-off" effect due to the shape of the black inner-housing.

 

my friend put s2000 hid's in his del sol - he also bought a thing on ebay that mounts the hids so that they shoot straight and level (so that it does not blind other drivers)

yeah i'm all about the S2000's h.i.d.'s...i know i'm not going to get the exact same look, but anything close would be nice
