Default SRS Light WONT GO OFF

Hi everyone. I Need help with my SRS light. I swapped out a “stock” 95 civic steering wheel with another “stock” 95 steering wheel and now the SRS light is continuously on. The reason for the swap due to cosmetics. Everything lined up identical to the other.
Is this a matter of resetting the SRS signal? If so How?
The SRS indicator does mean that at this pt both the Driver & Passenger airbags are not in function. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

was the bag poped? if so there is a modual that needs to be replaced. If it bothers you theres a way to TEMPORARILY fix it. take the guage cluster out and unplug the SRS unit. its just a yellow plug. pull it out and the light shuts off.

Hey thanks for the quick reply. the bag was in perfect condition on the inside, it was just a cosmetic thing on the over all exteriro of the airbag cover (where the honda sybol is) that was full of spray paint- previous owners doing. So no niether airbag was deployed.

I dont want to disconnect any wires. It is just a preference to do things right. Right now I really dont see why its going off.

yeah i had to do sometihng like that with my integra. you can do it with a peice of wire rather then the service connector.

Got my info here: http://www.team-integra.net/se...=1128

thats the correct way to do it so dont be afraid, I have to do it tommorow

ive heard that if you take your drivers seat out (unclipping the wires) and turning the key on will also trip the srs

When I ran the search earlier on, this did not come up. I think I can bypass creatign an SCS connector, and just go for the reset of the MES (Memory Erase Signal) connector. I did turn the car on while the air bag was removed and this is what likely caused it to happen
