im still a little confused about your issue. so did you take driver airbag off for aftermaret wheel? what year civic? taking the light out is simple. if you have a pass. bag and want it to be fuctional i may be able to help you with that as well

well theres an extremely easy way and then theres a little easy way
first pull the srs fuse and see if the light turns off it should but too be honest ive never done it that way before.
if that doesnt work the cluster will have to come out. once cluster is out just pull the plug that is yellow. there are better ways of doing this and what i have told you is kinda the mickey mouse way wouldn't recommend it but hey what do you want it works.
hope this helps you out

Re: srs light (wangkata)
no there is a bulb. im not sure what year you have but there is like a subcircuit board inside of your actual cluster. its kind of a lengthy process to describe. what i was suggesting that you do is have the cluster out or almost out and pop the front visor off. you will see the bulb that lights up the bulb. you can then either break it or pull it out or do whatever you want to do. im relating to 92-95civic however im pretty sure 96-00 are exactly the same but i could be wrong
