Tune up instructions, several questions.
i'm doing a tune up. i'm at 95xxx so far i just bought the following:
carquest ngk v power spark plugs

seafoam and carquest pcv valve:

and autozone fuel filter:
now all i need is the wires, cap, and rotor.
1st. where do i get the ngk wires, since autozone don't carry them, and carquest didn't have'm in stock. just go to honda? also the cap and rotor, should i get them at honda or just go to a place likeautozone or carquest?
2nd. i have an injen short ram intake. should i just go to autozone and buy the air filter cleaner for K&N?
3rd, i just filled up my gas tank, should i go pour 1/3 of the seafoam in the tank now? and where else do i apply the seafoam? do i put about another 1/3 of the bottle in the pcv valve? and then next week when my gas is all gone. do the full tune up?
4th, How hard is it to replace the fuel filter? Do i just open the gas tank to relieve the pressure, then unbolt it and put the autozone one in?

1. You can purchase NGK wires from NAPA or O'Reilly Auto Parts. I would purchase OEM cap & rotors... but thats me.
2. If you have a K&N filter attached to your SRI, go ahead and use the recharge kit. I am not certain how to go about cleaning Injen's filters. Someone chime in...
3. I'd recommend pouring the Seafoam before you fill up. Correct, you can suck up the Seafoam through the PCV hose, or the brake booster hose.
4. Replacing the fuel filter is simple; however, I'd recommend having a Crows Foot to properly remove attachments without stripping them. There is a right-up somewhere if you search.

Ditto on the reccommendation to purchase OEM Honda Cap/rotor
I believe Injen actually uses K&N filter...you can wash with soapy water...warm water with dishsoap in the sink works pretty good (make sure it dries for about 24 hours)...then spray on the filter oil (helps trap fine dust particles) and re-install. Been using cloth filters in racing applications for years and washing them is no big deal.
Cheers!

is it hard to do the cap and rotor? i've never done any of this before. well i already added the seafoam but it was when my tank was already full. should i do it again, next time fill up but before i fill up?
also, the spark plug wires just pull out of the valve cover and the distributor right?
which is better? to put the seafoam in the brake booster line or pvc?

Cap and rotor are easy to do, and yes you just pull the wires out (by the boot of the wire)

nah cap and rotor is easy. just a few bolts holding on the cap. replace your wires first then transfer the wires one at a time to the new cap in the exact same positions they were in on the old cap or else you will mess up the firing order. when the cap is off the distributor just remove the screw holding on the rotor and replace it with the new one. it only fits on in one way.

Also, don't pour the Seafoam into the valve cover side of the PCV. Suck it into the intake manifold slowly, and have someone holding the gas pedal to make sure it doesn't stall (and it will)

Seafoam = Amazing Thread
The OP in this thread suggests taking the car out for a drive and bringing it to redline. I dont think this is necessary though. Keeping revs up on the driveway should do just fine, or you can go for a cruise and watch the plume of smoke rise behind you.

Run 1/3 of the bottle of seafoam through the brake booster vaccum line. If you're not sure where the brake booster is you may want to get someone to help you out with this. Search for seafoam and there should be pictures. I've never run it in my crankcase, but hear that you would want to flush the oil out twice after you do, and not drive more than a couple miles with it in there.
whenever i use sea foam i simply do this:
few days before oil change i pour 1/3 of the bottle from the oil filler cap on the valve cover. Do it while its off (its a lot easier)
1/3 of the bottle i pour into the gastank.. make sure your not at a full tank... and drive it till you HAVE to fill up.
then 1/3 of the bottle through the brake booster line while its warm and idling

i know its not nessacary......on a street driven car.
my car sees track abuse regularly so its extra insurance.. besides, changing plugs only costs me 6 bucks at advanced auto... bump that, thats like 6 bucks every month or so.. thats like 2 junior bacon cheeseburgers, a small chili, tossed salad and medium drink at wendys...
