Default Timing Belt Teeth

i went to Autozone and they had two different timing belts

one was 40 inches with 266 teeth

the other was 40 inches with 216 teeth

which one would be the correct timing belt

Just tell them you need the one for whatever motor you have. If its the f22 tell him to give you the one for the 2.2. If its for the h23 tell them to give you the one for the 2.3. Thats what I did and didn't have a problem with the size.

Get one from Honda, good lord. Autozone doesn't even know which belt you need and to trust them to something as important as a timing belt would be retarded.

I would get a timing belt from the Honda dealership. It's worth your money.

if they list 2 belts for 2.2 then one of them must be 2.2 dohc and one must be 2.2 sohc.

jea, im guessing it is the one with 226 teeth because the one i have with 266 is one right now, but i think its keeps skipping a tooth

If you insist on saving 10 bucks then take yours apart and carry it to the store and match it up, you will need a different car for this though.

lol, dats where i did my whole swap...only problem is that these autoparts stores over here are wack and they never have any timing belts or any of that sort in stock so they have top "special order" them

I'm telling you right now...AutoZone has the incorrect SKU's for the VTEC and the Prelude S. It doesnt even say VTEC when you try to buy spark plugs there....thats why they sold me an incorrect timing belt...and spark wires....
