Default Timing belt tensioner

is the tensioning on a DOHC different fron that of the SOHC, because i have tried many times to tighten my timing belt on my b16 and it still flys around.

Yes, there is a difference. The timing belt tensioner is 33 ft-lbs on SOHC's, while DOHC's are 40 ft-lbs.
