tilton hydraulic release bearing or stock honda hydraulic fork? which do you use and why
i am getting ready to install my tilton twin disc and i purchased it as a whole kit so i got the hydraulic release bearing, master cylinder, ss lines/fittings. anyways for you running the tilton, do you run the tilton bearing or did you stay with the honda fork and throwout bearing? havnt really seen a lot of info on this.
I ran the tilton hydro bearing setup and I absolutely loved it! Well thats after I got the pedal travel adjusted right and all, once that was done it was awsome!
My buddy had the full tilton kit with the hydro bearing. Unfortunately the clutch has been plagued with problems. The discs splines stripped out (they warratied it luckily), and we have gone through 3 master cylinders, and now one hydro bearing in ~15000km. We might try using oem release bearing/fork and upgrading the slave cylinder this time around.
we run a modified oem release bearing/fork.
the tilton hydro release bearing does look nice though. and should give a better 'disenguagement' or at least a more consistant, because the release bearing will push evenly across the face of the diaphram, unlike a stock release fork/bearing which favors one side...

when using the tilton hydro bearing, do you guys just stick with the banjo fittings that come on the line? or have you had problems with them? i think i may try the tilton hydraulic bearing, then if anything, i can switch back to the oem piece.
alright cool. thank you, what about the fitting coming out of the master cylinder, right into the shock tower, does anyone know where to get a 90 deg male to male -3 to -3 fitting? and a stock honda pilot bearing is just fine, right?
