Default Antenna ideas, non-power types...

So im replacing a broken antenna mast on a cuzins car, and i install the new motor and all it does is click. I try the old one, same thing. My cuzin forget to fill me on the fact that it didnt work even before it broke.

Anyway, i tested the wires and get a solid 12v from the feed wire, then i have ground and then there is a the trigger wire from the radio that turns it on. When i click to turn it on, that wire only gets .4 volts, so i have a wiring problem somewhere, and considering this car is worth about 5 bucks, im not getting too involved in that.

So...i need a basic antenna, either shorty rubber one or regular screw in one, whatever. As long as it doesnt require power and still mounts easily in that same hole. Any ideas guys?

TIA
Dan

If you replaced the mast and then have no drive you'll need to open it up and do a little 'pin rotate'.

You can get the manual "DX" antenna from most parts stores,
price depends on WHAT YEAR the car is

Im not looking to modify anything or use the power one at all.

I just want one to easily mount in there that will work and screw in or watever.
