Default Clutch pedal acting up

In my EG civic for some reason my clutch pedal is sticking and not coming up all the way. I think it may because someone adjusted the pedal wrong before I got the car or that my slave cylinder is going out. When I left up the hood the salve cylinder seems compressed and not released when the car in park any suggestions.

When this happened to my friends hatch it was his slave cylinder. I think he got one from autozone for like 25 bucks or so.

i had the same problem you need to fix it now.... its your clutch slave cylinder. when i had it i ignored it and on my way home one day the clutch pedel fell to the ground and didnt come back up. there is just a leak in the cylinder and when enough fluid leaks out yours will do the same. CHANGE IT SOON

Check that the slave cylinder isnt leaking. I had a problem in my Prelude where the slave cylinder would just slightly leak overnight allowing the pedal to fall. IDK just a shot.

This same thing happened to me on the beltway i had to reach down while driving and pull it back up. The first time it happened I was about to sh*t my pants.

You should replace the master and the slave at the same time. Look on the floor behind your pedal and look for fluid. This is the sign of a bad master cylinder. GL.

I would have to agree with the others and say slave

My car does something like that, but my clutch pedal jsut has like 2 inches of play before the clutch actually does anything.. I might change it tomorrow

Good luck on the repair

I was only stating that you might as well do both and have all new components, especially with the age of the vehicle. The masters are known to fail i have already replaced 2 so it's just to be safe.
