Dipstick confusion
Ok well im dropping a ls/v in my car and I realize that when I pulled my engine
out and through my old dipstick right next to my new one.
So I go to look at them d16 vs, ls/v. And they look pretty much the same
but one is about 3/4 on an inch longer.
I was thinking that the longer one will probably go to the b motor but not sure.

They have the same deck height, but if I remember correctly the D-series oil pan is actually deeper then the b-series, thus the shorter one is most likely the b. Probably the best way to check is to put 4qts of oil in the motor and see which one is coated in oil in bewteen the 2 marks.
ive heard that some b series engines take 4.25 qrts.
is this true, and which engine is that.
I think it was one of the b18's make the c5 or something
