I just bought an 07' si last week but i was driving it today and heard some noise..when i got home i opend the hood and it seemed to be coming some where near the alternator....im not to sure what it could but...or maybe thats the sound that it suppost to make..... just wanted to know if it was just my car or if they all did it...anyway im taking it in tommorow just to be sure.....could anybody tell me if there might be something wrong.... -thanks

I'm sure your dealership would be more than happy to tell you if theres something wrong. Kinda hard to diagnoise a noise over the internet but its normal to have some noise coming from the alternator/belt/pulley area.

 

might be the timing chain

 

Is it a ticking sound?

 

headlight fluid?

 

yeah its like a small lil clicking sound....but not really that loud....

From this statement hear, sounds like the noise you speak of is lifter noise, and in my opinion it is normal.

 

the good ol' honda tick. every honda I've owened had that same tick and so does my 06 si

 

Ok since you confirmed it's a ticking sound, then my bet would be the injectors. I'm almost 100% positive it is.
