Charcoal Can Bypass?
Ive got a EK I just swapped a H22 into and, it being a track-only car, I'd like to take the charcoal can out.
Im wondering what hoses will have to be ran together to make this happen and all that.

on the back of the block, a black rectangle. Has to do with emission control.

No, you're thinking of the oil separator. The charcoal canister is on the firewall, and it's for evap emissions (fuel).

if i am removing my emissions charcoal canister, do i still need the Evaporitive Emissions (EVAP) purge control solenoid valve? If I remove that, will i get a CEL (OBD1)? I noticed that it is on my engine wire harness.

i just left it there, plugged in, but capped all vacuum lines.
no cel. no purge solenoid (physicall it is still mounted)

You'd get a CEL. Tried it today.

negative. If you have OBD1 your good. OBD2 you will get a CEL every 3-4 days or so..
As far as I know, anything over 1996 has more than just a solenoid, so like a 1996 coupe, and 97+ has like 4 different sensors, which only way to bypass is to convert to OBD1.
Plug the IM port, and route the fuel hard line into the large hose port under the battery.

however a VERY good work around is to somehow rig up a vac pump, and not only hooking your PCV system up to it, connect the EVAP solenoid to it, that way it will register air is still being sucked into the solenoid. NO CEL then. however if somebody knows a ressitor mod that would be awsome to trick the solenoid. I know u can with the knock sensor and 2nd o2

thats really what i was looking for... so obd-1 will get no code? thats all im worried about then... thank you.

another work around is to just run the hard line, to the evap solenoid, to the cruise control port. This way you can unmount the solenoid from the the fuel rail. Move it underneather the IM, not get a cel, and still have the same MPG. Ive noticed without the evap system, my MPG SUCKS!!! im getting about 26 mpg right now, from 35.
I usually spend about $10 gas a week, now im dropping $10 every 3 days.

should i just plug the hose coming from the bottom of the solenoid?

no dont plug any solenoid port. You wanna run a hose from the fuel line, to the solenoid, to the IM port, or cruise control port. this way you still have the fuel vapors, but its hidden.
the only thing you need to plug, is the IM port your not using.
