was having the car tuned and vtec was coming on and off. now it wont come back at all. checked oil level is fine, wiring seems to be fine, and the vtec sensor is working when hooked up manually.

what could be causing the drop in pressure? oil pump is my guess but thought i would ask if anyone else has had similar experience.

new motor has less then 1000 miles

Let me guess, LS/VTEC with the oil feed coming from the oil pressure idiot light port on the back of the block?

 

no built gsr and currently no other codes being thrwn.

 

No other codes? U haven't said that there's any codes, are u saying the vtec pressure switch code? Also what year of engine and ecu are u running?

 

you checked oil pressure to the head yet?
