Default GSR in a EG

Hey honda fans, I need some help here.

Swapping a OBD2 GSR into my bubble. I decided to keep my car obd1 however. Bought a obd1 p72 and started slapping the harness on. noticed that the distributor connector seems to be a bit different. i was wondering if i would be able to simply swap my d16z6 (obd1 SOHC VTEC engine) dizzy onto this engine? (i looks like it will fit)

any advice on this would be greatly appreciated. thx

do not hack up your obd1 harness to use the obd2 distributor. sell that distributor and buy an obd1 vtec distributor or you can just use the z6 dizzy but you must cut off the leg to clear the VTEC solenoid.

so your saying my z6 dizzy will work with slight modifications. will i still be able to use at least 2 of the 3 bolts that hold the dizzy to the head.

its simple

if you have the 98 motor, use the obd2 dizzy, alt., injectors, etc...basically keep it how it came

and use the 96-01 gsr obd2 harness, it will plug straight in with no modifications, all you need to do is run the obd1 p72, which you already have

hope that helps

use the obd2 harness its easy. the only wire you will have to run is for your tach. its the negative wire off the dist to the shock tower on the driver side.

i didnt realize he had an obd2 dizzy also...but anyways...its really not a hard conversion...pretty much all the wires are switched directly over if u plan on swapping plugs, even for injector wiring
