Default goin turbo

ok guys here's the question. is it safe to throw on the dsm injectors without a tune? i have a friend with a boosted crx with just the injectors and a fpr and it runs fine and has been for round 3 months now and he does push it. by the way i am on a obd0 ecu pr3. with a ls/vtec setup hints and thoughts are greatly wanted. i got everything i need to put it on the car. but am scared due to the fuel question.

Tuning is everything. Without a good tune you will be just running on borrowed time...if you can even get it running. The PR3 will have a hard time controlling the DSM 450's, your idle will be pretty crappy. If you are on a budget, look into some cheaper alternatives like Turboedit or Zdyne. Most of all, do your research and try not to cut too many corners, it will catch up to you.

i agree....

at least chip the ECU or use an SAFC to scale down the injectors at idle.

tuning is worth its weight in gold, and worth a lot more than a blingin' part under the hood.

Driving around without a tune or even a base map is like tapping an antique, unexploded warhead with a hammer over and over. Not a good idea.

Just pay a little money for a tune, you'll thank yourself later.

convert from obd0 to obd1 get it chipped and tuned, run 450cc injector, hi flow fuel pump. even then it needs to see a dyno or street tune to get fuel, timing exactly right ot make it remotly safe...

ha to running on a basemap with more fuel. either too rich or too lean depending on what crap you get

DO IT RIGHT OR DO IT TWICE!

dont cheap out if you want something to last even remotly long at all
