Default vandalized top

New to the S2000 game....
Been reading from this forum for 2 weeks straight and I love this forum.
Well let me just start off by saying how much I enjoy this car!
Now the gripe....last night someone slashed my top and stole my ecu

Now i would love a little info on how much it would cost to replace the top since it isn't patchable.
Where is the cheapest place in the SF bay area to replace the top or buy an ecu?
Any and all help is GREATLY appreciated.
And yes i am now resolved to parking the car in the garage EVERYnight so this will not happen again.

Thanks

Same thing happened to me within the first 2 months of owning mine >.< But "my" thieves stole my radio and some odds 'n' ends in the trunk.

I took the insurance cash, added some of my own, and now rox the Seibon CF hard top - Less chance of breaking in and looks to die for. I ended up secretly thanking the fv#ktards.

Just giving you another option, but good luck either way you go. Sorry for your violation

I had my top replaced earlier this year and I got estimates for the replacement top and installation that ran from $1395 all the way up to $2800. Shop around! I would say that generally the installation should run about $800 to $1000 plus the cost of the top.

Good luck...

its nowhere near the itr theft rate,

s2k are pretty safe, especially with the hardtop, nothing fits on the civics, or integras so thats good, i can go to the mall movies go anywhere, but obviously dont leave it out in a bad neigborhood with the top down either.

radio,
front wheels,
rear struts,
gauge cluster,
seats,
shift ****,
EPS,
calipers (on other Hondas),
steering wheel/airbag,
and headlights (HIDS, projectors, igniters).

I'm sure that I've forgotten a few things that Civic/Integras can use on their cars.

Also, don't forget that there are a bunch of new S2000 owners that don't really dispute where their used parts are coming from, just as long as they are getting cheap replacement parts. There are plenty of owners that have mangled their transmissions, rear ends, or blown their motors to create a market for thieves to steal others' S2Ks.
