uberdata help
I was gonna get my p06 ecu chipped for uberdata and wanted to know if i can just buy the usb to serial connection and use the hondalogger to tune my car. New to tuning but definitely wanna tune my car myself. Any suggestions? All help is greatly appreciated.
One thing thats being done quite a bit now is to just get the basic Moates burner for the chips, and then run a romulator to make fuel/ign timing changes on the fly. Uber has datalogging capabilities as well (not sure how much you've read up on it), and basically just requires soldering in either a serial port to the side of the ECU case or a nokia USB cellphone cable. The Uberdata forum is a good place for info like this, just don't expect to get any non-sarcastic/******* comments from members there if you're new to the program....really thats the only grudge I hold against Uberdata in the least bit, is the seeming "unwelcomness" to new members on their own discussion forum, other than that, top notch proggy.
for datalogging its easier to use a serial(TTL to RS-232), but if your laptop only has usb, then you need a TTL to USB converter
