Default D16A6 Swap?

I had a thread on a SOHC VTEC swap but I was wondering what it would take to swap an A6 in a EG?

What do you do about wiring? OBD? All of that? Could I keep OBD1? Can an OBD1 dizzy be ran with a EF SI ECU?

I could push 120whp out of it which is good enough for me. I used to have a SI and liked the motor a lot. It reved easily and was very peppy. Plus its going in a CX so it does not weigh much.

Any help greatly appreciated and please no go FI or go B series, I dont want to!

which eg?

You can use your old engine mounts and your old flywheel with the hydro tranny. I also have an A6 Block in my Civic

Use everything else from your stock motor. An A6 with a D15B7 ECU & distributor should run just fine.

My car is a 92 CX, I can use my dizzy? Will it have the same HP output as an SI if I use the CX items even the ECU?

Um...the dizzy should work. Not sure about the ECU, since it's designed for 180cc injectors. You'll need a B7 ECU. The B7 and A6 heads are identical.

One more question, B7 ECU's are P06's right? Does it matter auto vs manual? I hear some swaps dont matter....

Yes they are P06, and you need auto for auto swap, manual for manual swap etc
