D16A6...in an EG???
Ok, this may be a little confusing, but bear with me. IM trading my b16a swap for a complete d16z6 swap and some $, and this is what i want to do. I just bought a 1991 crx si today, i wanna take teh b16a out of my 1993 civic cx, take the motor from the crx (d16a6) put that in my car with the tranny from the z6 swap, and put the z6 into the crx on the crx si tranny. Now, i was thinking i could just run the d16a6 in my 1993 civic with teh stock cx obd-1 ecu, and just throw on a d series dist. obd-1, but will all the wiring plugs from the d16a6 work on the cabin harness and such on the 93 civic? I dont care about the performance with the cx ecu, i just wanna get a motor in the 93 civic so i can sell it. Thanks.

Re: (Gray EG)
The main difference in the block itself will ne the timing belt side mount positioning on the D16A6 block vs. the 1992-1995 Civics' engines.
The D16A6 mount will be rotated back a bit towards the firewall, but it will still work with some finesse without any modification.
As far as wiring goes, I'm thinking it won't be hard to run the 1993 engine harness with injectors and distributor, but I'm not 100% on that.
We put a rebuilt D16A6 (with flat top 87 Integra pistons and all new bearings) block with a D16Z6 head into a 1995 EX coupe and that timing side mount was the only annoying thing.
We did not run into any head/wiring issues since we ran the Z6 head, but I'm thinking you should not either.
