Default FUEL PUMP HELP! CIVIC 95 turbo

will be changing out my fuel pump because i ASSUME it is the issue....

car wont start....
Fuel injectors not spraying...
main relay seems to be clicking...
No burnt fuses...
ASSUMING the issue is a dead fuel pump...

before i remove the stock fuel pump...i want to make sure i am doing the right thing....

I can hear the pump priming when i turn the key, (high pitch sound for about 2-3 secs.).... does that mean

(A.)the pump is good and there is some other issue *(main relay maybe)

or does that mean

(B.)that the main relay is good since it is priming the pump, but the pump is BAD since it will not send the fuel...
much needed help before i remove the pump
..thx

Check your battery cables. Then, charge your battery.

Come back & ask if this doesn't work.

Original ECU? The ECU's often crap out after about 15 years. A bad ECU causes the afore mentioned symptoms.

the only issue with just replacing the fuel pump is i am in the process of moving withen a little less then 2 weeks... it SHOULD be cheaper to fix the car then to see it on the back of a tow truck... i dont have the spare cash to just fix something that isnt broken... so i NEED to track the issue down pronto.... the EXACT issue, not just take a shot in the dark... i have a security deposit to worry about!

ps...
ecu is BRAND NEW P72 HONDATA s300... still lit green in hole... not the issue

if the main relay was bad, the car wouldn't even prime....is that true? but IF the starter relay was bad... how would that stop the car while driving on the freeway and cause it to progressively get weaker and weaker till no fuel is flowing... the starter relay is ONLY for the START UP of the car *(correct?) and so is the Main Relay... meaning that.... something else killed the car WHILE it was MOVING and requiring fuel... electrical is good cause the key will let the motor turn over... just NO gas coming out of the injectors...

Well it's still an old Honda ECU, Hondata just opened it up and stuffed the s300 board inside.

Either way, if it comes down to it, I've got a fuel pump you can have. It's from a y8. I'm not sure if it's compatible with your car though.

the entire ECU is NEW from HONDA...
i have tracked down more information today....
the fuel rail IS getting gas... i removed the banjo fitting to the fuel rail and put it in a cup.... turned the key... gas was being pushed out...

that rules out the idea of the issue being ther fuel pump...
the injectors will not spray...
450cc DSM BlueTop injectors
resistor box wired in CORRECTLY
the car has been running for 7 straight months with no ignition or fuel issues before is died. that alone rules out the resistor box as a issue.

i have NO IDEA what is causing this issue!

What does the check engine light do when you cycle the key? See if injectors are clicking when cranking.

IF the alternator was bad that would not prevent the injectors from spraying... and IF the alternator took a crap... my battery light would have came on before the car died... thx for the input tho.

COMPLETE UPDATE:

injectors are ALL getting POWER and GROUND... car has NO SPARK!

PROBLEM(s)

** no spark... i took the distributor apart and checked coil and ignition moduel... both are in great condition...pulled spark plug out and grounded, turned key...no spark...even used inline ignition tester...nothing

*** no injector spray... all injectors are getting solid power (11.45) and ground...

**** ecu: opened ecu, nothing fried... no bad or different smell... when key in car is turned, GREEN LIGHT in USB port comes ON (HONDATA s300) if there was a short in wires or ecu was toast HONDATA s300's"Automatically" throws a RED LIGHT showing there is a issue with the car's wiring (it did it when my main relay fried my wire harness underdash 8 months ago)

Q:
what else could prevent the car from giving spark

Q:
if injectors have solid power and ground... what is preventing fuel spray.

more details from day 1:

***the day the car died the motor GRADUALLY lost powerover about a total of 10 miles, died about 2 times at stop lights, had to keep pushing gas and turning the key to get it moving again...when it would start after the dead stop, no matter how much i pushed on the gas the motor would stay at a very low idol as if i wasnt pushing the gas at all then would catch and start accepting fuel and i would be able to give the motor gas... while trying to get home over about 8 miles of freeway driving, i was unable to climb into high RPM's even @ FULL THROTTLE to keep with normal freeway speeds... i would have to downshift into 4th or 3rd to gain speed until the motor just died from fuel loss and ending up along the side of the road.***

thx again guys

tank is a little over 1/2 full...
car isnt throwing any codes... CEL goes on and off after fuel pump primes, just as normal...

i will be checking the coil and ignitor with voltage meter now... when it comes to this thing im still kinna an ideot... when checking for voltage i should be using DCV correct?
