89-91 JDM B16a (SIRI)
which motor did this car come in,i'm tryin to get a timing belt / water pump for my friends motor..

 

That motor didn't come in anything that was available in the US at the time.

 

ok so which waterpump / timing belt do i get to fit this motor..

its a 6 bolt water pump..any ideas?

 

93-97 Del Sol SiR (Vtec) or 99-2000 Civic Si

 

ya i know for the timing belt i can use any b16's because the deck height is the same, i'm goin to get a pr3(99-00 civic si) timing belt but what about the waterpump..its 6 bolt.

Pretty sure all B series water pumps at the same bolt pattern and i think after 97 every motor came with the same water pump...

Closets we have is the Del Sol SiR and the 99-00 Civic Si...not much difference between the B16a1,2,3...

B16 89-91 cam in CRX Sir and Integra Xsi but we didn't get either here in USA

I'm getting really confused here, I keep on seeing people listing Del Sol SiR/Del Sol VTEC as a source for B16A parts, but I can't find anywhere that shows that B16A Del Sols were sold in the US all i find is Del Sol Si with SOHC VTEC. Were they or weren't they... whats the deal?

i think the b16 came in the 95-97 del sol Si maybe 94 as well

 

It was called a Del Sol VTEC that came with a b16 in America. They were available from 94-97.

Word i gotcha now...

USA got the SIR Del Sol I always heard 93-97 but it may be different my friend had one for a while they are pretty rare and yea mostly called Del Sol "Vtec"
