I NEED NEW ROTORS...opinions??
im getting a vibration when i brake from freeway speed....pretty sure the rotors are shot because the pads look good
what should i get? im thinking the brembo front rotors but is there a cheaper alternative.....id like to keep this job under 100$....how hard is it to install by yourself??

If you have put many miles on the pads, you should replace them too even if you are replacing the rotors. The install is very easy:
Jack and Support
Remove Wheel
Remove lower bolt on brake caliper and pivit up
Remove 2 set screws in rotor
Remove rotor from hub
Replace new rotor on hub
Reverse steps from above
Make sure to use brake cleaner to wipe down the rotors so you don't have any foreign substances that could get absorbed by the pad and cause decrease in performance.
Good luck

agreed, if your going to get new rotors. some new fresh metal is all you need ($25-30). dont mess w/ crossdrilled or slotted.
maybe some more agressive brake pads and DOT4 brake fluid.
its super easy and you can do it in an afternoon

Ive got the brembo blanks and i like them alot. I warper the drilled and slotted ones i had before and these havent warped yet. Make sure your calipers arent siezed, becuase if they are getting hung up, they may be heating up the rotor all the time and causiing them to warp.

#3 phillips. shouldn't take more than an hour start to finish.

Here is a DIY: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=864784
After you do it you're gonna see how easy it is for the next time!
Too bad you weren't in the L.A. area or I'd walk you though it in person.

Back to the original post... are you sure it's the rotors? I would bet money it's something else. Probably the rack end bushing, tie rods, ball joints... check everything else first, I really don't believe when people warp their brakes, especially daily driving.
yea its definately rotors
my brakes are fine....except when coming off freeway exits or braking at any speed above 60 i get a vibration in the steerin wheel, which is almost always rotors
i feel retarded...i shelled out 500 to replace my acura TL rotors a few months back...i coulda saved grip!

lol ive had the same problem for a while, steering wheel and everything else just shaking/vibrating like crazy
but ya replacing rotors isnt hard at all and shouldnt take too long. Just remember to greese the 2 bolts holding the caliper on the rotor. If your replacing the pads as well greese the top of it where theres a little slot kind of. Just helps prevents metal to metal contact :D
1 last thing, wash the new rotors in hot soapy water, to get rid of all the microscopic pieces of metal and **** off of them

Not always, does your steering wheel also get some vibrations when you get up to speed around 60ish?
Before spending money on new rotors, try turning the ones you have(if they will still be within spects).Just take them to a local machine shop if you don't have someone to do them for you.(some parts stores also do them)
