wheel shaking???

Default wheel shaking???

so the other day my drivers side wheel started shaking really badly while i was driving! so i jacked it up today and there is alot of play in the wheel... like it shifts back and forth??? what did i expletive up??? lol somebody help b/c i have no idea???

yea i was thinking that to.... but i donno when i spin the wheel i dont hear any rubbing or scratching sounds...

yea its more than likely gonna be a bad wheel bearing do you hear a loud groaning noise while your driving???

i donno its not drivebale any more.... feels like the wheel is going to come off!

check you bearings. seems like that is it. my car did ths but it wasent to bad for no driving

lugnuts?

check tie rods. make sure its all tight behind the wheel.

then look up at the upper control arm.

and then look down at the lower balljoint.

thats really all there is there that would cause shaking.

the bearing is not the cause of shaking unless it was a loose axle nut too.

hmm well its not the tie rods, coulb be the bearings but the wheel moves quite a bit! i unno maybe ill bring it into les schwab or something and see what they say.

Easy checks: if you pull the wheel towards you and it moves, most likely a tie rod. If it shifts up and down, probably a balljoint issue. How is the axle on that side?

So is it side to side pay or up and down? I had to replace both my inner and outer tie rod ends on my ef to get solid steering again. I also replaced the rack end bushing to keep the steering wheel from shaking when coming to a stop. Home this helps. Also did it make a roaring sound while driving? Thats a sign of a bad bearing.

still cant figure out what it is... the ball joints look fine. could the axle be broken?

Side to side wheelplay usually indicates this.
