gutted catylitic converter
i have d15b vtec obd1, i keep getting a code 41 oxygen sensor heater, anyways i took down the exhaust to try to put a header on it and found out that i have a gutted catylitic converter can this cause a code 41, i swapped out my brand new oxygen sensor for a known good oxygen sensor and still code 41..i have a chipped p28 ecu from rywire and ecu jumper with vtec and 02 subharness so i know its not wired wrong..i checked all my wiring and its not rubbing or cut anywhere any help is appreciated
anyone ever had a code 41 damn!!1 sometimes it seems like the only ?s that get answered or replied to are those who ask stupid ?s or those who have big 13 thousand dollar project logs!!!
No, a gutted cat won't cause that code. If you've already tried a new O2 it's probably in the wiring. Try switching the two black wires at the O2. Also, make sure that you're clearing the ECU of codes by pulling the under-hood hazard fuse for 10 seconds...just in case you didn't know.
probably a stupid question, but did you reset the ecu after installing the new o2 sensor? I cant see how a gutted cat would affect this since it's after the o2 sensor.
edit-^^ beat me to it

thanks for the replies i do appreciate them, i bought a vtec o2 subharness from rywire i cant imagine he screwed the wires up but hey anything is possible, if you take off the battery cable doesnt it clear the ecu codes? thanks for the replies i get frustrated sometimes when i need some help and i get no replies, but see replies to can i put a b16 head on a d series block you know what i mean?
are you using a 4 wire o2 sensor because i get the same code and i run my stock Si harness with a jumper to a p28. someone told me its because i am not using the 4 wire that is suppose to go with the motor.

another thing i believe when my ecu was chipped is that they used po8 maps to run the motor correctly but the po8 still utilizes a one wire o2? could he have used the po8 maps and made a 4 wire o2 sensor work correctly together. i have too many variables
