Default k20a swap or new usdm tranny and turbo kit?

ok so i got a broken 2nd gear synchro, and i think my k20a2 isnt pulling as strong as it used to. i really wanna save the 5600 dollars and swap in the jdm motor and have the luxury of lsd and a stronger gearbox. or on the other hand i can spend 1100 dollars for a whole new 2nd gear set and synchro (with labor included) , and then piece together a turbo kit and boost this dc5. opinions?

need some feedback. honestly im leaning towards the swap.

i thought about these exact ideas for my base rsx. its really just a decision based on these things. do you want to have the most badass motor for a rsx(that not too many people in the u.s. will have) or have a boosted k20a2/3 that would be faster than a k20a and cost about the same. if i had to say if i were doing it now i would go boost but wait a few years and the k20a may come down in price.

yeah like i want something unique, cuz thats just how i am , i dont like it when **** is overplayed or overused. like with the motor swap . i would probably be like one of the 10 rides in town with a k20a swap in the dc5.im not sure. im getting a new job tomorrow. so the cash will be flowing in. woot woot. if you guys could tell me where i could just find the type-r tranny or a cheap k20a swap with everything needed hit me up. the lowest price for a motor with 9,000 miles on it was 5,600 plus shipping

You could buy the ITR tranny, A K24 Block and still save for a boost job.

Fix the tranny, then save later. Wait a while for the engines to be more readily available.

K24A4 with a K20A head has not been proven to be very reliable. there is also very little knowledge about the head swap. doing this swap can be very expensive

^How so. I thought the head swap wouldn't require all the extra bs like LS/VTEC swaps did?
