unsprung puts premature transmission/gear wear onto the transmission as it doesnt have the springs to dampen the vibration of the more aggressive clutch pad materials
sprung is just the oppisate. the springs help dampen the vibration of the aggressive pad materials, thus giving you a easier shift/engaugment!
i would recomend getting a sprung stage 4 4 puck clutch setup, it will be a little less rough on your transmission/shift/engaugment!

I'd go with an unsprung disk for a racecar. They're lighter and you dont have to worry about breaking the springs out of em launcing on slicks.

Sprung is nicer on the road, unsprung is very unforgivving. I would suggest you really learn how to drive an unsprung clutch. drivven the right way wont prematurly wear out trans parts and will be fine. Need to preload and slip it out off th eline for best engaugment. I run a tilton twin disc and its not sprung and i leave the line with no issues ands its perfectly streetable just have to figure out how to drive it is all
