Magnaflow exhaust for a BB6? Thoughts?
My current muffler is blown, and I would like to go with a muffler that is deeper, and a little louder than stock. I don't want something obnoxiously loud, or ricey sounding though. I visited a couple muffler shops, and had the Magnaflow muffler recommended. I'm talking about their standard design, not the Street Series or Race Series, but if you have experience with those I would like to hear them. It's a straight-thru design, and i'm hoping for a nice deep sound, with a stock look.
Thoughts? Any performance gains at all if installed? (CUrrently have a multi-chamber design muffler)

X2 I have a magnaflow no resonator. Boy that thing is loud.

A Blue Lude, does that mean that the longer the resonator is the deeper the exhaust tone will be? Does the longer resonator mean that there will be an anoying droan at part throttle? Thanks, Wj
I have a Magnaflow Dual tip muffler with no resonator and 2.25 in piping. i was going with a stock look. It is really loud and looks really good.. But it is one of the best sounding exhausts ive heard on a 4 cylinder that isnt made by subaru. I really like it. I do plan on getting a resonator though. I dont like being as loud as my car is. Im a low key kind of guy. I dont know what series the muffler is from. But it is a magnaflow.

I went with WS2, it is quiet as stock at crusing speed, but when i get on the gas it sounds off. I have heard clips of the magna w/o resonators and yes it is way louder.

Having lots of resonator is key to making an exhaust deep, yeah. Even a conservative muffler can pick up rasp without one or two.
Aftermarket exhausts are all about annoying drone at part throttle, especially the straight through stuff.
