Default boosting my teg at the end of the month

i have a 95 LS with 139K on it. i plan to purchase a drag gen 3 turbo kit. the only reason why im getting a kit is because this is my first. i wanna learn more about it without too much complications on my first try. i didt a compression test and the #s were 175, 170, 160, 180. i know thats a big variation but is it safe to boost. i was told that the kit would be perfect for what i wanna do. im not looking for a crazy amount of power. just a noticeable difference in performance. this is a daily driver. i wanna get between 250-300 whp. do you guys recommend upgrading any parts or will the kit do just fine?

The kit will do you justice if you want to stay stock. just have a reliable and experienced tuner to make your car run domestics off the road lol. But upgrades will just add more whp to the motor. GL!

The parts included in most turbo kits will cover u well. If u daily push bw 4-6psi you should be fine. Good luck.

he'll be fine around 6-11psi..on a good tune, but also keep in mind the size and type of turbo he is using. You cant really determine which psi to stay on depending unless he knows what turbo he is using. 4-6 psi on a mitsubishi turbo is different from 4-6 psi on a T66 or 60-1 turbo, theres a big power difference there...but most likely start out with a small turbo and you'll be fine running anywhere from 6-11 psi daily, with a good tune of course.

do yourself a big favor and ditch the fmu/inline pump setup. get some bigger injectors and any one of the great standalones out there(uberdata, crome, hondata, neptune, etc.) along with a good tune. anyone of those standalones should be reasonably affordable. that should be the first thing you wanna get. a good tune will greatly enhance your motor's longevity, power, gas mileage, and drivability.

depends on your budget....uberdata is free and crome is also free if you know how to tune. or you can hit up someone who knows how to tune crome pro or neptune and have them tune it for you.

are you planning on tuning yourself or not? that would determine which ems youd wanna get.

One thing some people dont really consider is this. Location of the dealer where you are getting tuned. ITs good to live near them incase you have issues with your ECU.

If you want to go cheap get yourself a chipped p28, get a program basemap of your choice burned to the chip. Drive your car to your tuner and get it tuned.
