Re: Input on this turbo kit... (Rican83)
i personally only have 1 or 2 stories of ebay kits, and they both ended tragically.
myself have only used 2, drag, and the f-r kit i have now.
so see if any others chime in.

I agree.
Used SOHC-T parts are cheap. the best thing I've seen from a single cam is when people use a t3/t04e .50/.57 trims. They seem to make the best power.
I don't want to go on telling you how to build your set-up but they kit posted seems decent.

That's the same exhaust manifold that came with my Chinese turbo kit http://hondamarketplace.com/ze...age=1 . It looks like they are giving you a Turbonetics turbo pieced together with cheaper, no name Chinese parts. But hey, I've been running my Chinese turbo with the same mani that I bought from H-t sponsor Tunerzimage for three months now with no problems (knock on wood). I'm not suggesting going out and buying an Ebay kit, but Chinese turbos have come a long way. As for the kit, it looks like a nice buy. I say go for it.

exactly every part of that kit except the intercooler and turbo is crap. Clams, couplers, oil line kit. everything is cheap. I wouldent go with it. Plus the fact that the manifold has the wastegate flange on only one runner might be a problem possible boost creep.

this is the same kit I posted about today not knowing this post was up. I know the turbo and intercooler are nice enough, and I understand the other pieces are cheaper, but does this really make up a 1200 dollar difference in this kit and the drag kit for a 93 gs-r? I am fairly limited because there arent many kits that I could put together like 94-01 integras, and 88-00 civics

What does the warranty matter when the company is gone?

i think you would be better off putting together your own kit. there are some pretty good deals on decent stuff in the h-t marketplace. you may spend a little more but i bet a nickel that most of the stuff in that kit wont last long.

i think this is the kit my buddy had on his d series and at 12lbs he over spooled the turbo while tuning and the shaft completely spun out of its housing. lol....so depending on how hard you wanna run it..it could be

A word on the manifold: I've had a $175 ebay manifold that looks exactly like that one on my SOHC setup for about 4 years now without any problems. Maybe I got lucky, or maybe they're decent. I've heard bad things about cast drag manifolds cracking and whatnot, but i drive my car every day and boost 18psi all the time.
