cannot separate engine from tranny TRIED EVERYTHING
Hey guys,
I am removing my transmission and cannot separate the MANUAL transmission from the D16Z6 engine.
I have tried a BFH, there is not even a slight gap so it is impossible to use a pry bar, have tried wiggling it and twisting it and shaking it. NOTHING WORKS.
I am using an engine hoist and a jack to remove the tranny.
Please help
Thanks,
AND YES, I HAVE REMOVED EVERY SINGLE BOLT
which include 6 bolt connecting the engine to the transmission

i am sure i have removed all of the bolts, but i will go check again just to be sure (ive already checked several times, but the engine will still not budge)

I would double check to make sure all of the bolt are out. Other than that, they can be a real PITA to get out, and to just keep trying. Good luck

what would you suggest doing besides what ive already done
ALSO I HAVE TAKEN THE STARTER MOTOR COMPLETLY OFF, IS THERE ANOTHER BOLT AROUND THAT AREA

You got all of the bolts. There are only 6 engine-to-trans bolts, so now you just need to keep prying on it.

nope prying going to be the only way to get it off. it shouldn't be that difficult. try a fork, and see if that helps any. good luck.
