Default gsr manifold secondary. picture inside

is that the gsr secondary on the manifold where the red arrow is pointed on the picture?

Yes. The butterflies are normally open. Vacuum must be applied to the actuator at low RPM to close them.

yes there is, open the mani and just pull them out....but don't even bother, just get a blox or skunk 2 IM

Leave it on, it is perfect for a stock motor. Designed just for it. Sounds sweet to when they open.

Yes, but you will ose low and mid torque if you do. It is not recommended.

people think this manifold hurts you more than it really does. it gives you so many benefits for a dd. gives you a nice torque curve and plenty of topend power unless ur runnin stage 2 and up cams

if i was to upgrade to a skunk2 IM i will hear vtec at 4400rpm all the way until 8000 with no secondary? i mean 4400 is pretty low rpm for vtec i think ill upgrade to a ecu or something.

The proper VTEC point is determined by the cams, head, and IM primarily. I run ITR cams in my GSR (stock IM) and a 4800 RPM VTEC points results in a smaooth torque curve, which is ideal. You will need to tune to find the optimal VTEC point for your setup. If you keep the stock IM, the 4400 VTEC point is optimal.
