Default VTEC Pressure Switch

I posted this in the EF forum, but I figure you guys are more familiar with my setup since it comes stock in some of your cars.

I was having trouble with my VTEC pressure switch throwing a code after being in high cam for a few seconds. I checked and rechecked the wiring for it, and it was fine. I wouldn't get the code at start, like when the switch is disconnected, but once I got a bit past crossover it threw a CEL (22). I ended up switching out to a whole new known-good VTEC solenoid and switch. It seemed to work ok, but since I just rebuilt the bottom end I wasn't getting on it too hard, and now I'm getting the code again. Wiring is good, VTEC assembly is good, and I removed the oil jet in the block. The oil passages are clean as well, I had the whole motor apart last week and cleaned it, though they weren't clogged anyway. Also my oil level isn't low.

My setup:
A6/Y8 mini-me
Crome'd P28 (OBD1 obviously)
Crower Stage 2 cam
Castrol GTX 10W40

Crower recommends 20W50, but I live in Upstate NY and it seems a bit heavy for the cold. I called them yesterday and after asking a couple of other questions they hung up on me Still, I was having the problem before I put the cam in. Just thinking a heavier oil might up the pressure a bit.

Any ideas? I would rather not jump the pressure switch connector, I want it to be set up correctly.

Thanks guys.
