Default Need help with loss of brakes

Few weeks ago my abs modulator went (was flashing abs code). I replaced it with a salvaged 97 integra unit which resolved the code issue. While driving, every once and awhile I push down the brake pedal and there is no hydraulic pressure.

I have to pump the brakes twice to get them back. Already replaced the master cylender and was curious as to what would be casuing this. Any thoughts?

PS. 94 accord ex with auto tran. And I've checked the lines for leaks.

Thanks.

Try bleeding the brake system. How long ago was the master cylinder replaced and what kind of master cylinder did you throw in there?

I replaced it with a NAPA unit and bled the system twice. Could it be the ABS unit?
Ii disconnected it from the ecu to see if I could bypass it. The problem still remained.

i believe there is a different way to bleed if you have ABS. correct me if i'm wrong. i just hope you don't have a leak somewhere.

try replacing the BMC again. remanufactured parts are not "as good as new" as they say. go OEM honda if your wallet allows it and/or go brand new.

integra modulator in an accord raises my eyebrow too.

if I rember right the integra uses a differant abs system. that could be the problem right there. also look for a leak, or paint coming up around your modulator. also to answer the prewvios question, just about all abs systems can be manualy blead, but not vaccum bled. pushing the break fluied backwords threw the one way check vavles can, but not always, destroy them.

From my research, both the integra and accord use the same abs unit.

Thanks for the info.
