Default Brake Problem! HELP

I guess ill start with what ive searched and read.

"non abs and abs integra brake boosters cannot be interchanged"
-if you put a abs booster on integra it will overpower mastercyl..

_I put an abs booster on my buddies non abs car he got wrong one never told me. Said they looked the same i found out the abs one is hence more powerfull.

-He probly initally had a master cyl. problem which is probly what it is. Anyways on with the problem/

I did not bench bleed the master before putting it back on i just left it sitting sideways and slapped it back on bleed brakes like normal. When i hit the brakes the Right front and left rear lock up!!!!! and they drag BAD SMELL them brakes after a block drive from shop to house.......

A)master is bad probly because booster :replace booster and master
B)master failed just get a new master maybe and abs (dont know if werk)???
C) i should have bleed booster
D)the pushrod length is wrong

Please dont flame or say this that would work ive searched information is stray and all over the place some say that it doesnt matter booster cant overpower master.......< id say thats right but anyways thanks rob

(its my broke buddies car im workin on it for free so cheap fix works if safe)

Sounds like bad master or alot of air in line. A line on a master cylinder (ATLEAST ON MY 94) will control one front wheel and the opposite side rear wheel. So if a piston in the master is leaking by it will cause that. The only thing that will cause this is alot of air in one line or a seal leaking in the master. Brakes are hot cause you are stopping a car with 2 wheels. I would change the master out again and see wat it do. Never knew the abs has a bigger booster?

since the booster is all that's been changed, try adjusting the push rod length. my guess is that it's keeping pressure applied to the line that supplies RF and LR. air is not going to cause lock up. you can bleed the master cyl in the car. just pump the brakes and crack each line at the master to purge the air. you will never get all the air out of the master by bleeding at the calipers

Never thought of crackin lines at master!

Well problem is orignally before i worked on it he thought it was booster and took it all apart before i could test or check out. He not much of a wrench and only got it halfway out tired to do it without taking off master from booster.....

I guess one of my biggest worry is that if i just go grab a master cylinder the booster will ruin it...

Found this in another thread

-You can use ANY ABS or NON ABS booster and MC together. You cannot switch ABS booster with NON ABS MC. I have an ABS (290v) booster/MC on one car and a NON ABS (260v) booster/mc on my other car. If you have a GSR that you are swapping your parts from you can use the booster/MC combo.

why not???????

you sure he didn't kink a line trying to remove this thing?
also, if there's any doubt, just find the correct booster for the application and install it
