should i change my oil filter everytime i change the oil on my ITR? if not, how often?

 

Change it everytime you change your oil.

 

I change every time. I'm sure everyone else does too.

 

ooops..I made a mistake changing my oil..I replaced the oil filter and everything..but I just remembered to initially put oil around the new oil filter before screwing it on...oil level is fine on the gs-r..should I be worried...DOH!...I'm an idiot!

Hey I don't know if you guys know this, but I just figured it out changing my oil on my Type R the other day. On my Integra LS I used to always have to reach from the bottom of the car to get the oil filter so I habitually did it on the R. But I realized the ITR's intake manifold is much shorter and leaves room so you can actually get to it from the top of the engine. Oil changes much easier for me now yay!

 

is there a trick to not get oil down the back of the motor, when changing the filter. i drill a hole in it let it drain still doesn't not good enough .. any suggestions

 

use a rag or you could always pull your engine to change the oil -rob

 

Take a 1/2 gallon milk jug and use a knive to cut the side (and bottom) off of it. Leave the opening intact (to direct oil into the pan.
Slid the cut jug under the filter (up to the oil cooler) and loosen the filter. After the oil is finish draining.... remove and wipe.
