Default B18b1 installation

Alright, I've tried to use the search feature, and even browsed on Google for a bit and I couldnt find anything..

I have a 00 Dx Hatch and a 96 LS b18b1 swap.. I have the swap installed, but what wire harness and dizzy am I supposed to be using? the 96 ls dizzy wouldnt plug into the original 00 dx wire harness so I took the plug from my old 00 y7 dizzy and placed all of the 96 wires in it minus the tach wire to temporarily fix the problem, it runs, but not correctly, it dies at stoplights and has a weird rev limiting range

i've got the same swap just done in my 98 hatch.....i got a 98 ls teg dizzy, and i'm running the stock computer, and it was running fine, and really strong for a few days, but now all of a sudden, my car is cutting out after 2k rpms, and if i get it past 2 - 2 & 1/2k rpms while driving, it starts shaking horribly, and idles around 2k and kinda fluctuates....really strange. ran great for a few days, not it doesn't run for ****. hopefully will be all figured out by this weekend. i'll update ya with any info i can get on it.

actually i thought it was the 99-01 dizzy that's different. that's when they changed to the smaller plug. just like the 99-00 civics did. and i don't know if this helps you out any. but i got my problems fixed on mine. i wired up the harness to convert it to a 2-wire IACV, from the 3-wire setup. Found a thread on here that explained it all, and 'quick spliced' 2-sets of wires to trick the ecu for the Crank Fluctuation Sensor, and now i'm running strong. if you're having idling problems, that may be the solution. it fixed mine. if you need any info or links to any problem you're having with your swap, let me know, and i'll try to help you out as much as possible. lata!

If I'm not mistaken, you are not supposed to use 99-00 si ecu with a non vtec motor like the b18b. Fuel maps are totally different and so is the fuel cut off for redline. Right?

currently using a Pr4 ecu, and switching them between each other makes no difference noticeably

Have you checked your tming when changing the dizzy? I have an obd2 dizzy for a 98LS and it plugs to my 98dx harness just fine. There are a couple of fixes that you may need to apply to the harness for the crankshaft sensor and the IACV. Did you do those? IF not, go down to the ECU and wiring section in this link:

http://technet.ff-squad.com/

you have obd2b civic so go to the obd2 section. Which ecu are you using? try to find a 99-01 LS ECU. According to that link, OBD2a 96-98, and OBD2b 99-01 have different wiring. Sounds like your plugging your obd2b harness to a obd2a ecu. And make sure your using a 99-01 LS ecu and not an Si.
