Do I keep or lose the resistor box? *fuel question, H22 CRX*
I have a 1994 H22 engine goign into a OBD0 1989 CRX. I am upgrading to 550cc RC engineering injectors my question is do I keep or lose the resistor box?
Currently this resistor box is in the engine bay.
Thanks

All injectors are the same, I believe its the fuel system thats peak and hold or saturated, is this right?

no the injector type dictates this, peak and hold need the resistor box and saturated do not.

I know they are low impedence but I shall find out the other info they are 550cc Rc injectors

RC has an intellegent part number system so you can tell if they're saturated or peak and hold by looking at them.

Re: Do I keep or lose the resistor box? *fuel question, H22 CRX* (skunked)
Important notes on OBD0 and OBD1 fuel injection differences
MPFI Models
88-91 CRX Si and HF
88-91 Civic Si
88-91 Integra
DPFI Models
88-91 CRX DX
88-91 Civic DX and Std
• You may use low impedence type fuel injectors with an OBD1
ECU but you MUST use a factory resistor box.
• MPFI models have a resistor box in place from the factory.
• DPFI models DO NOT have a resistor box from the factory.
• If you are using high impedence fuel injectors, REMOVE the
resistor box from your vehicle.
Low Impedence Fuel Injectors
OBD0 CRX Si & HF
OBD0 Civic Si
OBD0 Integra
OBD1 Prelude
High Impedence Fuel Injectors
OBD1 and OBD2 Civic
OBD1 and OBD2 Integra
OBD2 Prelude
How to remove a resistor box from your MPFI vehicle
• Unclip the resistor box connector.
• Unbolt and remove the resistor box from your vehicle.
• Cut the resistor box connector off of the engine harness.
• Splice together ALL the cut wires that were going into the
connector. We recommend soldering the wires together. Use
electrical tape or heat-shrink tubing to insulate the connection.
So for your application your H22A has Low Impedence Injectors and will need the resistor box if you don't already have one wired in from the factory. Also to answer your other post larger fuel lines aren't needed. Spend the money in another area.

Re: Do I keep or lose the resistor box? *fuel question, H22 CRX* (ExplicitSpeed360)
Thanks for the reply
I got the part numbers from my RC injectors
On the injector it states 0100698 in one part and 0886 on another part of the injector.
It says on the paper work, Injector type : SAT 12.4 so Im taking a wild guess this means saturated.
I just got back from the EFI 101 course and was told all injectors are the same its the fuel systems i.e. the different OBD's (like it the post above) that determine whether they remain saturated or are peak and hold. Is this correct?

Unless you want to convert over to OBD1 you need to find some peak and hold injectors.

Re: Do I keep or lose the resistor box? *fuel question, H22 CRX* (djnikko)
bump for a little confirmation on this.
The part numbers of my injectors are listed above (SAT 12.4). I shall be converting to OBD1 to get the car running NA then I shall be putting in a DTA fast engine management system. The chassis is a 1989 MPFI and the H22a is from 1994 its all starting to confuse me a little
