Where Does This Go? *wastegate broke, fell on road, spring somehow fell out*
My wastegate broke off my manifold a few days ago, kinda drug on the road via the dumptube, I took the manifold off and got it rewelded and put it all back together
I went for a drive and whatdya know, only 3-5psi (normally 12-14). Figurd I hooked something up wrong but I didnt
I found a little white spring on the ground where I was working
I have zero idea where it comes or goes nor if anything else could have fallen out with it
Anyone care to elighten me?
Its a SSAC 35mm BTW
thanks

Um my manifold is a custom ramhorn so please stop jumping to conclusions
Its not the wastegates fualt, I just dont even know if that is where this spring came from though, apraently its faily small compared toa real tial spring unless there this small
Where else would a white spring come from after my wastegate fell off?

Maybe the wastgate has some kind of helper spring. But you need to check and make sure the valve seat(i thinkthats what it is)..the little ring that goes around the bottom on the wastgate is there. Also is the gasket messed up at all?

That would be my guess as well. Since you can use both large and small springs to increase boost pressure (at least with Tials you can).
But, I don't know how the helper spring would have gotten out of there without the larger spring coming out as well, since the smaller spring was most likely inside of the larger one.
