Default gsr internals in an LS block??????

all i no is i have to get the LS block bored for the internals to fit, ive already got the internals.... is it worth all the work, theres a couple good machine shops around here and itll be 2-300 to get it bored how i will need it, the LS head i have has titanium valve train already and im going to put some mild cams in it, will this be worth the money? gsr hydro trans with liteweight flywheel and clutch as well will be running with this, should i just keep the stock LS internals until i can afford aftermarket pistons and rods? or bore it out for the gsr's? im kind of into the whole sleeper thing to...thanks for help

And you do not have to bore the ls to put in gsr internals, they are both 81mm bore.

Why do all that? Just get some PR3 (USDM B16A) or P30 (JDM B16A) pistons and that will raise your compression to a little over 11:1 with the PR3's and a few tenths higher with the P30's. No need messing which changing the rest of the internals.

stick in some itr pistons, that will give you some compression.

Why would you want to go from the 89mm stroke of the LS crank to a 87.2mm stroke of a GSR?

Just have the LS rods shot peened if you plan on doing LS/VTEC

Why are you having it bored? The internals for the LS and GSR are the same. Size wise anyways, they'll both fit. Are you having it bored and sleeved, or boring it larger to increase displacement? If so, you're going to have to sleeve it anyway for the GSR internals to fit so you're basically throwing your $ out the window as you've just canceled what you've originally done.

I'm with fmrprojects, stick some ITR or B16 pistons in there, or slap a B16 head on it w/ ITR or CTR pistons O.o LS/VTEC + higher comp = ownage.
