Default Could it be the fan? (overheating)

Well i was sitting in the car with the a/c on full blast at school waiting to pick up my friend. i then notice my temp gauge was at 3/4 of the way on hot so i turn the car off. Usually the gauge is only at about half when it is fully warmed up. i wait about 2 hour and drove home the gauge never went past half so could this just be that i was sitting in the car with no air hitting the condensor and radiator or is there something more then that ie. water pump / stuck thermostat? I think i just have a bad fan or relay cause the car drove home 27 miles and the temp was fine the whole way.

any ideas?

probably just the fan or relay. when you have you ac on do both the fans run. if not they theres your problem

The fan that is closest to the passanger side (Bigger one) Is your rad fan and the smaller one on driver side of the rad is the condensor fan

you can do that to just test the fan...but it may be the relay or wiring to the relay or wiring to the fan from the relay.

If you jump the connector for the thermo fan switch ur testing it all in one shot. relay, wiring and the fan. if the fan runs on this test but not while the thermo switch is connected then you have a bad thermo fan switch

if the fan doesnt run when you jump the thermo fan switch connector but the fan does run when you jump it to the battery it can be the relay or the wiring.

you can test the relay and wiring by continuity.

no not the fuse box..they are mounted to the frame.. right next to the airbox..behind the headlamp...ull see a small neutral colored case with black wires coming out of it.. the component sitting next it is the relay ( has a brown rubbery covering over it).
five wires coming out of it....two yellow/greens, one black, one black/yellow, and one blue
