Default Next Step With Radiator Fan...

I am out of idea's everyone. I replaced the fan switch that is on the thermostat housing hoping that it would fix my fan issue, but the fan still does not come on.

I did jump the connector with a paper clip and the fan did turn on, so that leads me to believe the fuses, wires, fan motor, and relay are all good?

The fan also does NOT turn on when the AC is on either.

What else should I check?

The civic fan doesn't turn on with AC. Are both your radiator hoses getting warm (thermostat opening?)

Yes.both.are warm. However I have noticed that when the temp gauge is climbing the top radiator and cap are just warm and I.can leave my hand on it.

so the coolant overflow is cool.

Is there a temp gauge sensor that controls how the temp gauge reacts? Could.my.car be not getting hot and just reading wrong?

Are you loosing coolant in any way? If not, its not hot enough . These engines need to reach 95*C before the fan kicks in. Engines will normally be hot even in the coldest weather. Coolant temperatures were designed to operate at 90 to 95*C.

No coolant is being lost, i replaced the thermostat, the switch on the thermo housing, bled it, checked the fuse and relay, and tested the fan by jumping the connector...

Is there a sensor that controls the heat gauge on the cluster??? Maybe the car temp gauge is just getting the wrong temp?

Im going to replace the temp gauge sensor below the distributor next... after that i have no idea what else to do..

Check this thread and follow the test for the sending unit.

If it's good, check your temp gauge.
