Default problem starting up at times...

i have a '04 base model...once in a while when i start up the car dash lights only light up...no cranking or anything. after playing with it for a while it would end up starting up. i took it in a couple times and everytime they went to check the problem it works fine and they couldn't re-create the problem. starter, battery, alternator etc are all fine...want to know if this is a common problem or recall for rsx's? would like to get this fixed before my warranty is up..thanks

Best advice, like you said, is to use that great 3 year warranty. If they cant help you out. I would seriously try another battery and clean up the grounds. Maybe they have rusted (especially if you live in a humid climate) Just make sure the terminals and cable ends on the battery are cleaned from corrosion and rust. As well as the grounds for the battery cables and starter.

it sounds like it may be a faulty neutral safety switch. thats weird though because its a common problem on older automatic cars but yours is still pretty new
