I'm putting my car back together (d16y8) and i have no clue what this part is, it has a sensor plug in and a vacum hose leading out on it.. just wondering where it bolts on. here are some pictures.

it's your map sensor and it bolts to the fire wall. i'm taking it this is an older civic? what year and model?

eww....is this the same motor from factory, or are you replacing it with a different motor. if it's a original motor the the map sensor should be on the t/b.

 

well.. im not sure it does becaues theres a hose clamp holding the hose forward(towards the engine block) right under the the throttle body.. you can kind of see it in the picture.. hmmm.

yeah looking at the pics better, that is not your map sensor. help me understand better, the hose that's connected to the engine, is it connect to a hard line, kind of like a coolant line?

 

found it! it's your purge control solenoid.
