Default MAP sensor in two different places

I just swapped a b18c into my 1992 acura integra gsr ( originally b17 vtec ). I recently bought a new throttle body, but noticed that the MAP sensor for the original motor setup is located on the firewall. this is a problem because there is a spot to install a MAP sensor on the throttle body that i bought (because the map sensor on the b18c motor is not located on the firewall but the TB itself)

what do I do? do I extend the wires from the one on the firewall ? and what do I do with the hose connected to the MAP sensor on the firewall?

if I lost you, please tell me and ill clarify

thanks everyone

moe

I'd use the one on the throttle body and remove the one on the firewall.

I assume that the ECU is a P72 from the B18C. Is the harness plug the same for both MAP sensors?

I'm not sure how you would block off the MAP sensor hole on the throttle body. You either need the other throttle body (B17 style) or the MAP sensor for the B18C1 throttle body.

KMS sells a map block off plate. Can be picked up for $20 I have one since I'm running a gm 3 bar. Or just pick up a map sensor from and honda that mounts it on the throttle body and use it to plug the hole. Make sure you have the o ring or it will leak.

The easiest thing to do is put your b17 throttle body on the gsr motor and there you will have your hook up for your vacuum line and won't need to buy anything. It's a plug and play affair since you're using the b17 engine harness.
